Medical Transcription
Finch's Medical Transcription Service caters to a wide range of clients, from single Physician Practices to Large Clinics and Multi Facility Hospitals. Over the years Finch has developed procedures to increase the efficiency and turn around time and reduce errors in the Transcription process.
Transcription Process
Finch follows a fairly simple transcription process. We will provide the client with a Dictaphone free of charge and will install our proprietary software (Vinscribe) on the client's computer. This software will enable the upload of the voice files and download of the transcribed files. Upon completion of the dictation the Dictaphone is connected to the computer and with a few clicks, the software reads the voice files from the Dictaphone and uploads them to Finch’s servers through a secure HIPAA compliant connection. . The upload triggers an email to our transcriptions and work begins almost immediately after the dictation files are uploaded. Once the transcription is complete within the agreed turn around time, a notification is sent out by email and the client can download the transcribed files with a few clicks of the software.
Vinscribe
Vinscribe is state-of-the-art proprietary software built by Finch for its medical transcription service. Vinscribe uses 256 bit encryption technology to secure all Protected Health Information. Vinscribe is a user-friendly software that makes upload and download of files easy. A very important feature of Vinscribe is its audit functionality that enables the client to track all the voice files and the associated documents. Vinscribe provides the ability to read the transcribed documents while listening to the associated dictation.
Dictation Options
While using Vinscribe is the best option to manage dictations and transcribed files, Finch also gives clients options to dictate over the phone. Finch will provide clients with a toll free access number that is available 24/7. To dictate over the phone, Physicians will simply dial the toll free number, enter their identification code and start the dictation like they would do on a Dictaphone. The Toll Free dictation system has several menu options to manage the dictations.

Fee Structure
Finch charges very competitive rates for its transcription services. We keep our fee structure very simple and it is based on turn around time. We charge the client per line, each line being 65 characters. Multiple spaces in a document will be counted as one character.
